Gaspe Retrospective

On a trip to Canada's east coast 

I took a series of photos 

while the quickly changing light 

altered the environment.

The tide was receding 

revealing the rocky shoreline

 and contrasting 

with the sun's rays

 on blue gray water.

As the sun melted away to my right 

and warm colour skittered across the rocks
  I turned to my left

 and caught the city lights 

of a community across the bay.
